NRH2O Improvements, North Richland Hills, TX
Aquatic Design Group provided design, engineering, and construction services for a new waterslide attraction at NRH2O. We first conducted a feasibility study and evaluated waterslide products from multiple manufacturers to find the best fit for the park. The chosen attraction was ProSlide's Viper slide with high-banking turns and a 20-foot MEGAtube, enhanced with a state-of-the-art light and sound package. Aquatic Design Group continued to fine-tune the ride post-construction to ensure safety and maximize the rider experience, including adding water brakes based on feedback from the design and engineering team. Aquatic Design Group again provided consulting services to expand the Bounder's Thrill Tower waterslide complex, delivering study, programming, construction documents, and construction observation services. Effective coordination during construction was crucial as the new slides were built around existing infrastructure and transported across the lazy river. Aquatic Design Group is currently working again with NRH2O on additional projects to continue to improve the park.

Starting in the Spring of 2019, Aquatic Design Group interviewed key stakeholders to help identify the existing programs that needed to remain and design three (3) additional phases of expansion / redevelopment in order to maximize the guest experience for the targeted demographic, maximize cost-recovery for the City, and create a sustainable design that will carry the park forward for the next 30 years. In addition, a cost analysis was provided for the first two expansion phases of the project.
This successful collaboration resulted in a new multi-slide complex with receiving pools all master planned, designed and built in less than one year. Future phase work also includes a new lazy river, interactive pool and shade pavilions / cabanas for rentals.
